We found out we were pregnant in May of 2019. We were so excited to be starting a family. My first trimester was showing to be normal with no complications. Right at 13 weeks, entering into the 2nd trimester I began to experience things that were contradicting to normal pregnancy symptoms. From that point on I was having to go to multiple doctors appointments a week. Many ultrasounds were conducted and while they could detect a bleed, the baby was still thriving. At week 16, even while experiencing scary pregnancy symptoms we went to our appointment at Becoming Mom to find out the gender of our baby. We were ecstatic to find out that we were going to be adding a baby girl to our family.
3 short weeks later, our worries and nightmares became true. We found out that our baby girls heartbeat was no longer detected. I was immediately admitted into Labor and Delivery and was induced to give birth. On September 1st, 2019 I gave birth to Hayden Rae Campbell. She weighed 4.8 oz and was 7 1/2 inches long.
In 2020 we found out we were pregnant with our Rainbow baby. We were scared, anxious but ultimately excited to be welcoming another baby into this world, hoping and praying for a different outcome. I was initially due in October of 2020 but was induced at 37 weeks due to some similar complications I displayed in my pregnancy with Hayden. On September 29th, 2020, a little over 1 year after giving birth to Hayden, I gave birth to our son Holden James Campbell. We are so grateful for Holden and know that he has the best big sister watching over him.
In 2019, we fell pregnant with our angel Crue. I quickly started showing signs of preeclampsia at about 20 weeks and had to be closely monitored by the Maternal Fetal Medicine doctors at UC Medical Center. By 24 weeks things turned for the worst and I was hospitalized with severe preeclampsia for the final time. My blood pressure was continuing to rise, despite multiple medical interventions and my brain was showing signs of swelling; leaving the team with no choice but to deliver.
At just 24 weeks and 4 days I had an emergency C-section. Crue Corbett Hambrick was born crying and full of life on December 9th, 2019. He weighed 1 lb 6 oz and was 12 inches long. After battling multiple brain bleeds and NEC, he passed away from sepsis on December 18th, 2019. He gave us 9 beautiful days that we will cherish forever.
We fell pregnant with our rainbow baby in 2021. I was monitored with weekly appointments at TriHealth Maternal Fetal Medicine group before going into preterm labor at just 26 weeks. After almost a month long inpatient hospital stay, 3x weekly NST's, and fetal echos/ultrasounds; we thankfully were able to make it to 33 weeks and 6 days before delivery! Oliver Crue Hambrick was born at Good Samaritan Hospital on November 29,2021 weighing 5lbs 1.3 oz and was 17 inches long. He rocked the NICU and was out of there in 9 days! We were able to come home with our rainbow baby on December 8, 2021... Just a day shy of Crue's second birthday.
