The Hayden & Crue Project Angel Suites

The Hayden & Crue Project has partnered with Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio to develop an Angel Suite. This suite was opened on October 30th, 2023. Pictures of the suite at Good Samaritan Hospital are below.

We are extremely excited to announce that Christ Hospital has not only agreed to work with us on providing their main campus with an Angel Suite but have also agreed to a NICU room. This NICU room is the first of it's kind in our area that we are aware of and will provide the same comfort to families as the existing Angel Suites, but whose babies have spent time in the NICU but need a private and comforting space to say their final goodbyes.

These suites will bring comfort to parents who have lost their baby in the womb or will inevitably lose their baby after giving birth. This space would be located on an overflow floor away from the Labor and Delivery Unit and would be designed to support these families during one of the hardest moments of their lives. This space will allow the parents to be away from the triggering sounds, equipment and atmosphere that surrounds them in a typical L&D unit. The suite will have comforting items such as comfortable seating, books, refrigerator, cleansing and dressing station containing infant clothes and blankets for them to use if they choose to. There will also be a cuddle cot or caring cradle located in the room full time. The cuddle cot/caring cradle preserves the baby so that the family gets to spend adequate time and create memories before having to leave the hospital.

The unique feature of this room is that the mom is able to deliver in this suite and will never have to be exposed to the triggering environment that the Labor & Delivery Unit may provide. The suite contains hospital grade equipment that practices best infection control standards.  We are so excited to be developing this special room for families in need. We are thrilled to be working with Good Samaritan Hospital, Bethesda North Hospital and Christ Hospital on these projects and hope to expand our work into other local hospitals in the future.
